Denver Wedding Photographer – Wedding Wednesday – OZ Wedding Inspiration!
There are bridal shows, and then there are bridal SHOWS! Straight up – some bridal shows are huge and can be daunting to take on! There is a wealth of information, but they can definitely be overwhelming. I remember going to those shows as a bride and feeling trapped. There were so many people, all moving in one direction, and I couldn’t move the other way, even if I really wanted to!
I hate being forced to go somewhere that I don’t want to go. I hate feeling trapped. I knew that I felt that way as a bride, and I have really focused on being a part of the smaller, more boutique bridal shows as a wedding professional. I MUCH prefer the smaller shows – these amazing collaborations of talented professionals, where brides get to see some firsthand wedding inspiration. Doable ideas, things that can inspire them to build the wedding of their dreams.
And that, my friends, is what Wedding Wars is. I have now had the privilege of being a part of Wedding Wars for two years now, and I love it every time! The couples have a chance to actually TALK with people and get ideas, and they get to vote for their favorite setup!

This year was a different venue and a different feel, which was amazing! The venue is a newer Colorado wedding venue, Baldoria on the Water. I can’t WAIT to see the back of this venue in the spring, when everything starts to bloom!
It was a little chilly to be hanging out outside, so we had fun inside. ;)
This year our team’s assignment was the direction WEST – and the awesome Meghan Gutteron of MAG Events had an awesome vision. When I heard that I was working with the WIZARD OF OZ team I was thrilled! Meghan had said that she wanted to go a little darker instead of the munchkin filled type look, and since emerald isn’t a favorite color of mine, I was a little hesitant. Seeing the finished product was absolutely stunning, and I have never seen green look so good!
Here are the super talented professionals that pulled this off:
Denver wedding invitations – Dulcey Johnson, DulceyMade Designs
Denver wedding hair stylist – Hayley Styles
Models – Brenda Archer & Maurice Washington
Everything turned out to be just stunning, the Oz theme was incorporated so beautiful and without being hokey – it was glamorous and chic!
Thank you to EVERYONE who was a part of this amazing team!!
