Denver Boudoir Photography FAQ
Okay, deep breath. I know you have questions, and please keep in mind that if you have questions that are NOT answered here, I am open to answering any and all questions you may come up with! There are no stupid or weird questions, ask away!
Denver boudoir photography is intimate in nature, and I understand that not everyone wants their photos publicly shared. Any photos that are shared on my website, blog, social media or in ANY public manner have been released by my clients, in writing. Yep – they loved their photos SO MUCH that they wanted to share them with the world.
What does this mean for you? If you are in love with your photos as well and you want to share, I would be honored to have you in my portfolio. If you aren’t comfortable with that, everything will remain private!
Here we are, the golden question. The number one question that I get about Denver boudoir photography!
You might be thinking that you have NOTHING to wear, am I right? Or maybe you have a HUGE drawer of lingerie that you’ve collected through the years and you don’t know what to choose!
As soon as your session is booked, I spend a LOT of time with you deciding what to wear. I have a welcome packet that you will receive that will walk you through things to wear! Here’s a hint: remember those heels you bought because they were super sexy but they hurt your feet so bad that you never wear them? Bring them!
Umm… 99% of the women on my website aren’t models either.
I have worked with professional models a handful of times, and usually for commercial activities – my clients are everyday women just like you. Wives, moms, sisters, stay at home moms, grandmothers, and every type of woman you can imagine! They didn’t know how to pose or even set their faces in the facial expressions they wanted. They left feeling amazing, and you will as well!
I will guide you the whole way! From booking, until well after you have received your finished product, I want to make sure that you are completely comfortable in every possible way. I want you to not only LOOK amazing, but to feel amazing as well!
Believe me, you do not want me doing your hair or makeup. I’m the girl that watches YouTube videos and somehow still ends up looking like I have a black eye. I’m makeup challenged.
I’m an artist with a camera, and can do amazing things in the safezone behind my lens, but I leave the hair and makeup to the artists that have that talent! I work directly with stylists that I trust and have worked with consistently, they are absolutely amazing at hair and makeup and that option can be added onto any session. They come directly to the studio, so you don’t have to worry about driving in between or figuring out traffic! You can come into the studio, have a glass of champagne and relax while they pamper you, and we chat.
Short answer – YES.
Long answer – most of my sessions are done in my Denver boudoir studio.
I have traveled to different locations for sessions, including museums and outdoor locations within Colorado. I have worked with clients to photograph their boudoir sessions in Florida, California, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming, Iceland and Scotland as well. Actually, as I type that I realize there are more… let’s just say I love to travel!
I have worked all over the world, and would love to work with you to customize your session. I also send out travel notices when I’m traveling, and work with clients to set up a destination boudoir session, for a unique experience. If you have a particular location in mind that is a little different, please contact me so we can make it happen!
