Here we are again, another year, another holiday season. And just in case you need a reminder, that is not just a basic reminder but is NICE AND LARGE because those Denver Christmas boudoir photos – or any other holiday – don’t just have to be for someone else…

I really wish I could tell every single woman in the world this – you do NOT need a partner to do a boudoir session. As a matter of fact, I have worked with LOTS of women that do a session as a wedding gift to their husband-to-be, and they come back to do divorce photos too. YOU are worthy of doing something amazing for yourself, it doesn’t have to be for someone else!

Dare I say… giving yourself the gift of confidence and those little reminders in images from your session is a FAR more powerful gift than giving it to someone else. Just sayin’.

2023 has been a whirlwind for me, filled with so much growth, in ways that I didn’t really WANT, but definitely needed.

Does anyone else feel this too?

We are being pushed and called to MORE, and that isn’t necessarily in the ways that we realized. And now, in October, I’m here for it – but going through it – it wasn’t exactly easy.

WHAT. A. YEAR.

Remember the fairy set that I built, then got really sick and only did a few sessions in? YUP – it’s staying up, but will be spookified – is that a word? Google says it isn’t – for spooky season.

We are heading into my busiest season, and while I go above and beyond for my clients consistently, when it comes to deadlines and my own boundaries, those Denver Christmas Boudoir Photos do need some prep time and scheduling.

DON’T. WAIT.

When I say the studio closes on a certain date because of the holidays – that doesn’t mean it’s closed and I might make an exception. It is closed, truly closed, and I will be enjoying my family during that time. Or maybe watching ridiculous Christmas movies, or making cookies, or drinking hot buttered rum. Okay, I’ve never had that, but I want to, so maybe this is the year.

Denver Christmas boudoir photos take time, it’s not an overnight process, and I work with each client individually to make sure their session is customized to THEM.

And why are pairs of people in relationships usually one and the other? Does anyone else find that odd?

In our home, September 1 is the official fall/Halloween/spooky decor, and November 1 is the official Christmas decor.

When Thanksgiving comes out with some fun decor, lights, and songs, then it can be added into the mix but until then, it’s all about gratitude, food and family, and images of people eating turkey in their EATING PANTS doesn’t pack the same punch as holiday lights, right?

Okay let’s talk Denver Christmas boudoir photos, because there are a few options when it comes to the timing, OR if you prefer to give a hint to someone you love that this is what you REALLY want for the holidays!

A quick note – if you don’t celebrate Christmas, you are ABSOLUTELY WELCOME in my studio, and we can chat to adjust the deadlines based on your holiday! Most of my clients celebrate Christmas so that is what we look at when it comes to dates, but if you’re wondering about your holiday, contact me and we’ll chat.

FIRST – you can gift YOURSELF the full experience, and then have the photos as a reminder that you’re hot.

SECOND – you can gift YOURSELF the full experience, and wrap up the photos as a holiday gift for a lucky special someone. And some for you too. ;)

THIRD – you can get a lucky special someone a GIFT CARD that they can put towards their own experience.

FOURTH – you can gift YOURSELF the full experience and have a ball, have gorgeous photos as a reminder that you’re amazing, and tell a special someone that you did their holiday shopping for them and this is what they got you.

So how do we go about confirming any of these options?

And just in case you haven’t read the details on when to book your session and you aren’t sure how long it actually takes to get everything ready for that final delivery,

Calling me on December 20 and wanting an album before Christmas will be a phone call that could end in holiday heartbreak.

DO NOT WAIT.

I say this every year – for 14 years now – and every year I get those last minute requests. Don’t wait and book your session NOW, so that you can get in before those spots are filled.

I added this option in 2021 and it has become a client favorite:

Same Day Reveals & Ordering appointments are the FASTEST.

This means that you come in for your session in the morning, and have your reveal & ordering appointment in the afternoon. We still have to work with the printers for anything printed, but digital images can be taken home THAT DAY. So how the heck do you get a same day reveal?

The ONLY way to have a same day reveal for those Denver Christmas boudoir photos is to pre-pay for your collection ahead of time, and choose that option as one of your bonuses.

What? You didn’t know that’s an option? I haven’t written about it yet but have been doing it for about a couple of years now and my clients LOVE it! If you want more information, click here to contact me and book your session.

DEADLINES!

The studio will be closing for the holidays on Friday, December 15th, 2023

The studio will reopen on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 to get started on those Valentine’s sessions. Those book quickly too, if you know that’s something you want, grab it now.

Standard Sessions:

To guarantee delivery for that sexy Christmas gift before Christmas for our full range of printed products WITHOUT additional rush fees, your session needs to be booked and completed by Friday, November 10th. Your reveal must be completed by Friday, November 17th.

My printer has moved their deadline up from what it used to be (December 1), so we have to finish them a little earlier this year.

Rush Sessions/Same Day Reveals:

To guarantee delivery before Christmas for a same day reveal with the limited printed products, your session and same day reveal needs to be booked and completed by December 7. (Pending additional lab restrictions or deadlines based on the product you want.)

Digital Sessions:

Digital images are definitely the FASTEST option. For standard sessions, they can be taken home at the time of the reveal & ordering appointment, for same day reveals they can go home the SAME DAY as your session! If you opt to gift digital images with a standard session, your session will need to be booked and completed by Friday, December 7th. If you opt to gift digital images with a same day reveal & ordering appointment, you have until Friday, December 15th.

WHEW – that was a lot right?
