Yesterday we talked about learning – super important, right?

I believe very, very strongly in constantly learning. I believe that everyone has something they can learn from every other person on this planet – no matter what their background or current circumstances may be.

Part of being a photographer means connecting with some other amazing photographers, and I have been so blessed to be surrounded by some photographers that rock my world. The super talented Denise Birdsong-Zavala is teaching a workshop in Las Vegas, during WPPI, called Stripped Down.

There are a lot of things that go into sessions with women. We of course want to pose them in the most flattering way possible, making sure that lighting is set up in a way that is flattering and makes them look super gorgeous! But a huge part of working with women is getting emotion into the photos. Let’s face it, women are emotional creatures. So to capture that emotion in a photo is to really capture a part of her, in that moment, in that station of her life.

And that is what Stripped Down is all about! More information about Denise’s workshops can be found by clicking here. If you are a photographer joining us in Las Vegas next week, there are still spots available! Come learn with us. :)
