Denver Boudoir – Studio Soiree 2013 Roundup
Well, it’s been two weeks. Two weeks since the amazingly wonderful evening, where so many of you joined me and we had a ball! This post is REALLY photo heavy, so before you get to scrolling, I want to make sure to thank everyone that was involved!
Over $1,000 was raised for Gateway Battered Women’s Shelter, and knowing that everyone came out to support a cause that is so important to me really warms my heart.
There were a few professionals who were HEAVILY involved in planning all of this, and it would not have been possible without their help. I am pretty organized, but dayum these awesome ladies put me to shame when it comes to planning, and did an amazing job!
First, my assistant Amy has been an amazing asset to my team for almost two years now. I am so fortunate to have her on my team, and as a friend, thank you so much Amy!
Second, TC with Muse Events was my sanity throughout all of the planning. She took the fashion show and ran with it, despite my cluelessness, and did such an awesome job. Thank you SO much TC, I can’t imagine trying to do the Soiree without you!
Lilli Black with Bella Calla… Lilli, Lilli, Lilli. You are amazing beyond words and every time I come to you with a crazy idea that others shoot down, you get excited with me and say “Let’s do it, let’s make art!” Thank you SO much for your help in planning the Soiree, and going with my crazy ideas. Your decor was absolutely beautiful, and it makes me feel okay about being decor challenged – because I can always tell people to go see you! ;)
Kim, Dave & Alexa with A Wild Thyme Catering – your patience with me in deciding everything is SO appreciated! The food was sooooooo yummy, and now that I think about it, I’m realizing I’m hungry. Thank you so much for your help throughout the evening!
Nicole with Posh Linens swooped in kind of last minute to decorate the tables, and she did SUCH an amazing job! The linens literally matched the dress I was going to wear – I absolutely loved them, they were the finishing touch that was definitely needed, thank you so much!
Molly with Cinematique Films was filming all night, and I can’t WAIT to see the video! I call her inappropriate Molly, but we get along REALLY well, so what does that say about me? ;) Thank you SO much Molly, I’m excited to see it!
My BFF, my sister from another mister, my friend of too many years and I will never admit to how many… my best friend Ryan was there for me, and seeing her that evening instantly soothed my nerves. Thank you SO much for being there Ryan!
Jen Swedhin with Jen Swedhin Photography came in from Grand Junction for the Soiree. Why? Because she wanted to be the awesome photo booth model to test lighting? Well I’m sure that was part of it! But really, she came in just to support me because I was so damn nervous. Thank you SO much Jen, I’m so glad that you and Brian were able to make it, and I really, really appreciate you being there!

Now how about onto some photos? ;) The photos you see below are my favorites, there is a slideshow at the end with even MORE photos too. ALL of these photos – both the favorites, and the slideshow photos, will be available on Facebook tomorrow, October 4, so you can tag your friends, yourself, or make them your profile photo. The photo booth photos will also be online tomorrow too!
A Wild Thyme had some amazing food for us, and served up some fab cocktails
And of course, the cocktails have to glitter, right? (From Katherine Rogers)
Lilli did such an amazing job with centerpieces and decor! And Posh Designs decked out the tables with some gorgeous linens!
Yours Truly Cupcakes paired our desserts with our cocktails, and I’m so sad to say that I didn’t have a chance to taste the cupcakes. It was a crazy night!
There were prints and albums out for some eye candy, as well as the interactive slideshow on monitors…
I knew, when planning this event, that I wanted massage. What woman doesn’t want her feet or shoulders rubbed? Sadly, I did not get to partake. I have decided on a new rule for next year – Brooke gets a foot massage too! ;)
Nicole with Pretty Bride Shop had a lash bar set up to doll up the ladies, and did an amazing job! This was definitely a hit, and everyone had to have their lashes done before stepping into the photo booth!
Carolyn with New World Coffee had a naughty coffee bar set up – amazing coffee drinks with just a splash of liqueur!
I had been asked to do a live shoot but honestly, until that night, I wasn’t planning on it. The thought terrified me. But we decided to go for it, and we went through some posing basics that EVERYONE can use in everyday snapshots to look great in photos!
My beautiful Diva, Amanda, was on hand for the live shoot, and is absolutely stunning! Makeup: Melony Lowrie
This is probably the only photo I have of me shooting that I like… thank you Amy!
Brandy Rich was one of the artists on hand to do makeup for the models for the fashion show, and did an amazing job!
Melony Lowrie was the other artist working with the models, she also did Amanda’s makeup in the photos above!
The fashion show was OH so much fun. The goal was to have women of all shapes and sizes and different stages of life, and to show off not only some adorable outfits for sessions, but some killer lingerie too! There was dancing involved, and laughter, and some awesome shenanigans. In going through these photos to post them, I was in awe of the legs – these ladies have some amazing legs!
Les Boutique handled the outfits for the fashion show, and set up some gorgeous outfits at the Soiree, with proceeds going to Gateway!
After the fashion show, we had a TON of giveaways to go through.
And on the way out, everyone got Brooke’s version of the adult sippy cup. Perfect for water… sure. Or cocktails. With bling, of course!
Note to everyone who took home one of these babies – please be careful, these are Swarovski rhinestones, hand wash only! No cheap plastic rhinestones here… only awesome bling allowed.
Thank you again to everyone that was able to join us! For more photos, check out the slideshow below, and feel free to share with friends!
