Denver Boudoir Photography – What to Wear For Your Boudoir Session: Amy’s Picks August 21, 2013
Another installment of Amy’s Picks on What to Wear! If you missed part one, you can click here to read it from a couple of weeks ago.
Last week I wrote about a few of my favorites, but I wanted to continue with a few more ideas!
His Shirt: This is of course a classic Boudoir photography staple, but why limit yourself to a button up with a tie. Chances are, your man doesn’t want to be reminded of the daily grind. What about a jersey for his favorite team, or how about a t-shirt of his favorite rock band, or even just a simple men’s undershirt. Remember when you used to wear that to bed? Chances are, he’ll appreciate the reminder himself. ;)
Blazers or a cool jacket: There is something so classy about a well tailored Blazer. It covers just enough and all the important bits, while still allowing just enough peek-a-boo. Or, channel your inner bad girl with a leather jacket and some boots.
Nothing at All!
Think classy and tasteful, like Marilyn Monroe’s famous playboy shoot. Click here to tweet that!
You don’t have to have the statuesque body of a Greek god to pull this off. Some strategically placed sheets or a prop can do wonders and leave just enough to the imagination. And if you’re not brave enough to bare it all, no worries, you can always do implied topless with a pair of panties and conveniently placed arm.
There are so many different ways to think of what is “sexy,” boudoir doesn’t HAVE to be lingerie! Sexy could be your favorite sport, or something special that you share together, or even something that just makes you feel amazing. For anyone that has been nervous, thinking about their own boudoir shoot, think a little outside the box if you don’t want to wear lingerie. Or contact me and we can get to brainstorming some ideas together!
