Best Denver Boudoir | Ms. K – Published!

Well hello there, party people, welcome to the new year! I feel like I have been in a little bit of a fog lately with the new year, figuring out what I want to do and my focus. My best Denver boudoir work is SO important to me, but has taken on a bit of a different meaning in the past few years. Originally it started as wanting women to realize how pretty they are – and lately has morphed into a desire to help women realize how POWERFUL they are.

Part of that has been actually submitting my work for publications and magazines – which isn’t always easy to do. As an artist, I am very attached to the images that I create, and when there are super amazing women in those photos that are also putting themselves out there? EVEN MORE PRESSURE.

BUT – publication has been something that has been added in the workflow and focus, starting in 2018. And I’m very happy to say that with one of my team members heading up the effort, in 2018, my work was published in 21 different publications, magazines and blogs. WHEW.

And guess what – I have only shared one of them – out of 21. Yes, I’m that behind. But we’re going to START the sharing with a client and share that is near and dear to my heart. I don’t know why I say that all the time, because really, they all are, but Ms. K is just a kind soul.

She booked a session with me a few years ago, and we had SO much fun with her session. She even included her mother in her reveal, and the tears in both of their eyes when they saw the photos made me cry too. And this was BEFORE I even had my daughter. I just felt the love and pride that this mama had for her daughter, seeing her as a woman and embracing her as she is.

Then the second time, when mom came too, I HAD a daughter. I am tearing up just thinking about this. As a mom, to remember the tiny little baby that depended on you for EVERYTHING, and then see her as a woman, confident and happy?

MAN.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why I don’t blog very much anymore. I WANT TO TELL ALL THE STORIES and then I tear up and I’m just done.

Ms. K is a beautiful soul, joyful and happy, and lights up a room when she enters. I will share more specifically about the session when I share the photos (yes, there are more!) so for now we’ll stick to publication. And I will leave it at that because I don’t want to be a total mess for the rest of the day.
