Published – Ms. C | Best Denver Boudoir Photographer
I am admittedly, way behind in writing. This is for three reasons:
- I know that I’m not alone in this, but in 2020, life turned upside down. My studio as the best Denver boudoir photographer was forced to close for 5 months and you might be wondering – why didn’t you write then? Because I was surviving. My entire family was home 24/7 for months on end, and having to be ON all the time was exhausting. I loved having my family with me, but it was overwhelming at times, and so moving throughout the year meant doing everything I could to support them, keep myself healthy mentally and physically, and love on my clients. Writing took a backseat.
- With the option of working with clients directly removed entirely due to government restrictions, I worked more with my students. You may or may not know – I teach other photographers as well. Part of being the best Denver boudoir photographer means helping other photographers and creative business owners. Cake artists, stylists, even restaurants – I have worked with other businesses to help them be creative and figure out ways to work AROUND the restrictions. - I will write more about this in another post, but I came to a crossroads in my own life. I have always shared my journey with my clients unapologetically, and now I want to share even MORE of myself and my story, and I have been struggling with the details in doing that.
Regardless of why I’m behind – I wanted to share this beautiful feature & publication with you.
Ms. C is a firecracker. Fierce, fun and so smart, she has been through some hellish things, and wanted to celebrate herself with a boudoir session. Because I can think of NO better reason than that, can you? She shared about some issues in relationships with body shaming and control. I feel like this is a WHOLE different article to write – because why the hell would someone do that to another human being – but I will leave it at that for now. She has worked through some major things, and wanted to make herself a priority for the first time in her life – even if it wasn’t easy to do.
The Art of Portrait magazine wanted to feature her images, and as the best Denver boudoir photographer – how could I say no? Of course they did, right? 21 publications in ONE YEAR means sharing them – and more are coming.
Check out Ms. C’s photos – and damn that ink too – and send her a virtual high five.
