Denver Boudoir Studio – Throwback: Featuring the Gorgeous Mrs. C

Thursday is for Throwback Thursday, right? ;) How about a throwback session from my old Denver boudoir studio!?

I am very, very excited to share this feature! I know this beautiful woman personally, and can tell you with 100% certainty that not only is she dead sexy on the outside, she is kind and amazingly beautiful on the inside as well. She has some amazing things coming up in the next year, and it seriously makes me teary eyed to think about the blessings that are coming her way!

But I am getting ahead of myself!

Mrs. C contacted me in 2013 and wanted to set up a time for a boudoir session – but the catch? She wanted to bring friends and make it a party too! I have done several boudoir parties in my Denver boudoir studio, it is an amazing time to get together with your friends and laugh so hard that we have to fix your makeup. I have some outtakes from this particular party that were hilarious, but to protect the kind-of-innocent, I won’t post those here. Maybe I will get permission to share those too, at another time!

I was excited to have Mrs. C and her friends in my Denver boudoir studio, but anytime that I work with friends, it is a little more nerve racking. I want to make sure that they really, really love their photos. I’m so happy that Mrs. C loved her photos so much that she wanted to share!

When it is time to do a feature for my clients, I email them questions to answer, and ask that they choose a few. Some of my clients choose not to answer and just want to show the photos, and some choose to write a book. Some have shorter answers, but they are heartfelt and really touch me. Mrs. C’s answers made me cry. Like, ugly cry on my part. She is a beautiful woman, here are some of Mrs. C’s thoughts in her own words about her session in my Denver boudoir studio.

What do you love about your body?

I love my eyes and eyelashes. When I have makeup on and my eyelashes are long, I love how they frame my face. I also love my height and long legs. Being 6 feet tall was not always a cool thing, but I love it now!

How did you feel about being half naked in front of the camera?

At first, I was terrified. But we did a girls party and 5 of us did our shoots back to back throughout the day. I was last, so by the time it was my turn, I was really excited and into it. Brooke played music and certain songs would catch my attention and help me to let loose and relax. It was so fun and I was surprised at how open I felt while she was shooting.

How did you feel after seeing the photos we created?

I was really nervous to see the final product, but when we did our viewing party, I looked at the pictures and I felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. It was such an empowering experience to sit with 6 other women in a room looking at photos of myself, half naked, and looking beautiful. I saw what my husband sees for the first time.

How do you feel about your age?

This was a big year – I turned the big 3-0 and it was quite the shocker. But I am 100% okay with it. I have lived a wonderful 30 years and I feel like I’ve earned each one of them, so I celebrate that I am finally out of my 20s!

Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?

I have wanted to do it for my husband for a long time, but I kept saying, ‘I need to lose weight first.’ But I finally decided that I shouldn’t live in the future – my husband loves me just as I am and I should too. So I decided to just go for it!
