Denver Boudoir Photos – Featuring the Gorgeous Mrs. M!

In 2013, I offered an awesome special for Denver boudoir photos – featuring my clients and the simplicity of White Sheets. Anyone who has worked with me for a Denver boudoir photography session knows how much I LOVE the sheet shots! There is something so beautiful about YOU, and sheets. Yes, I do love lingerie and some fabulous shoes. But to have the intimacy of the sheets with a beautiful woman is something so special, and just gorgeous.

Mrs. M took advantage of the White Sheets sessions to surprise her groom with an amazing groom’s gift on their wedding day! She was so nervous, I remember her emails ahead of time – but she rocked the session, and I love the photos! I will let her tell you a little bit about her session, in her own words.

How did you feel about being half naked in front of the camera?

I was extremely nervous. I have never had the confidence in myself or in general to do something like this. I did bring a friend with me and that helped so much, but so did you, Brooke. I felt so comfortable around you and you made it tons of fun!

What do you wear when you want to feel amazingly gorgeous?

To be perfectly honest, I wear cute panties or a cute bra and clothes that are comfortable on top. I feel like I have a secret that nobody else gets to know. So, I can go to the grocery store in my favorite jeans, that don’t necessarily do much for the figure, and a slouchy top and still feel dressed up and pretty, even if it’s just underneath. Also, when the hair looks good – everything else seems to look better!

How do you feel about your age?

I feel like I’m right between being a teenager and being an adult that will be taken seriously. It’s a weird age because I am an adult; I am married with a degree and own a home and have a career, but I am still looked at as this “youngin’” that doesn’t know what life is about. I think people experience conflicting things like that at every age, though!

Do you feel like your age affects how sexy you really are?

Yes and no. I think the confidence that comes with age will affect it.

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with your younger self?

The people you are trying to impress now won’t even remember you shared a class with them. The people you will meet after you decide that you’re good enough without changing are the people who will be around when it matters and the best has definitely yet to come. Also, stop being afraid of what people think. They’re going to judge you no matter what so just be yourself.

What makes you feel like you can conquer the world, powerful and confident?

Knowing that if I decide to take on the world or stay in and care for my home, my husband supports every decision (even the stupid ones). I have never felt more confident than I do now that I have him by my side. He will push me if I need it and he will stand back and let me fail if I need it. With him around I can do anything.

Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?

It was a wedding gift for my husband. I am typically very reserved and shy if outside my comfort zone and I knew he, the master of guessing every gift I have ever given him, would never be able to figure this one out ;)

What is the thing you would want to share most with other women when it comes to getting half naked in front of a camera?

Be with people you trust and don’t do it unless you truly want to. Ultimately these pictures are for you.

Are there any memories that stick out to you that trigger certain feelings about how you feel about your body – negative or positive?

When I was growing up I was always made fun of because I was skinny and because I have fair skin. I still struggle with both every day. I tried every sunless tanner and every tanning bed there was, but I would either be orange or red and never that pretty golden color everyone else was. In college I decided “F” it. I don’t want the wrinkles and spots that will come with trying to change something that really shouldn’t matter. My wonderful husband has definitely helped me feel more confident about myself.

What do you feel when you look at the images now, well after your session?

I went in terrified that I wouldn’t like anything Brooke showed me. I have never considered myself photogenic, but I think I look at the pictures more than my husband. They make me feel beautiful and I have such a proud feeling when I know I pushed WAY past my comfort zone to do something like this.

I am so proud of her too – what an awesome experience, to just say “F” others, I’m going to do what works for me! I think we all have areas that we need a little bit of “F” what other people think!

How about some gorgeous photos?

I am so honored that Mrs. M shared her photos and her story, and she even let me take a before photo! Some women love them, some don’t, but my clients’ experience is so important to me, I love it when they share. So many women tell me that they’re not models, they couldn’t possibly take photos like this. There are very few women in the world that have the model bodies and faces – but the reality is that when we have professional hair and makeup, and the right lighting and posing, we can look hot too. You ARE beautiful, just as beautiful as those women on magazines or in movies.
