Denver Boudoir Photography – Snow Boudoir! Featuring the Beautiful Mrs. J

I am fortunate to have a gorgeous Denver boudoir photography studio, right downtown. Most of my sessions are there, where it is nice and warm and comfortable. But every once in awhile, I like to get outside. As a Denver boudoir photographer, I am first and foremost an artist. That artistic side of me craves some variety at times, which means doing things that some might think are a little crazy. It makes my heart smile to connect with beautiful women who want to do these crazy things with me.

Less than two months after having my daughter, for some crazy reason, I decided that I wanted to shoot in the snow. While I could have set up any number of sessions in the snow – couples, engagement, families – I wanted to do my favorite kind of session, boudoir! With boudoir comes scantily clad women – which I thought might be an issue in freezing temperatures. The weekend for Snowmageddon came, and the grocery stores were completely empty. What a perfect weekend for a Denver boudoir photography session – outside, in the SNOW!

Mrs. J is a mom of three boys, which might seem surprising, but when she wanted to be a part of this shoot and was super flexible, it definitely showed. It takes some a seriously laid back attitude to deal with having three little boys, and that was evident when she was able to roll with the punches that came with this session. When we arrived at our location, we had to trek over a huge hill with everything – bags of lingerie and clothes, huge coats, and a chair – all through the storm. At first it wasn’t too overwhelming, but it started really coming down like crazy further into the session! I was freezing, I can’t imagine how cold she was!

How did you feel about being half naked in front of the camera?

I have never had anyone take naked photos of me other than my occasional naughty pic to my husband, so to have a random yet amazing stranger see me that way & photograph me……I had a completely different expectation of how I’d feel, but I honestly felt so comfortable (cold) but truly relaxed, risky, and super sexy! It was so adrenaline rushing & exciting! It made the entire session even better.

How do you feel about your age?

I feel I am way beyond my age in a mental sense. I am a young mother of 3 & my age is very shocking for most. I started young, I will end young. But it’s proof to myself that I have a long life ahead of me & my body is my temple, it will grow with me on the inside and out each year that goes by.

What’s your best tip for feeling sexy?

There is not a right image/definition of what “sexy” should look like. Looking past what society defines, feeling sexy comes from each individual’s mode and confidence. What gives you as a human a sense of attraction in yourself or to another. I would say confidence, it’s not something you put on in the AM and take off in the PM. It’s having confidence in yourself no matter your uniqueness. That’s truly the best “sexy” tip to me.

What gets better with age?

What makes you feel like you can conquer the world, powerful and confident?

My past. Whenever I reminisce of what I have gone through to get to where I am today makes me confident I can handle the next big thing life throws at my like a boss! ;)

Towards the end there, we were both pretty cold, and I’m sure I was the warmer between us! I love the snowflakes in her eyelashes! Thank you so much Mrs. J for braving the cold with me, and indulging my crazy ideas. They might be a little nutty, but man we had fun!
