I have been waiting. And waiting. And editing. And tweaking.
Today is a first for me – the first ever, full boudoir blog post. I have hesitated doing a full post because of making sure that I have all of the logistics in place. Which one goes on the front page, which one doesn’t? There is a lot to consider, and I feel like I have it all set and ready to go. Let me be clear – this is NOT my first boudoir shoot. This year, it seems like I am swimming in boudoir, which I LOVE! This is just the first full post to hit the blog.
And what better to start with than a styled shoot, right? This shoot was born of a love for the venue. I have always been fascinated by the D&F Clock Tower in Denver, ever since I saw the amazing fireworks show in 2001 for the new year. I photographed an event there a few months ago, and ever since then, I have been curious about the history, and the story of the building. And of course, in my photographic brain, the lighting. The attic, the top, the belltower – everything that goes with it. When I started talking with one of my favorite wedding coordinators about a styled shoot there, I knew that I wanted to do not only wedding shots, but boudoir as well. And WOW, I am so pleased with how everything turned out.
The gorgeous Mrs. H agreed with less than 12 hours notice to be a boudoir model. I had previously set everything up – and had two models cancel. It was getting down to the wire, and I was facing the possibility of not being able to do the boudoir portion – and was VERY bummed. She stepped forward and was absolutely stunning! She is a fellow photographer, and not a professional model – although I think she might have that career choice if she wants it, she is beautiful!
I had several amazing people to work with for this shoot, thank you to everyone!! The wedding photos will be coming soon, I promise!

these are PHENOMENAL. <3
[…] I had the opportunity to work with some amazing vendors, in a gorgeous venue, for a shoot several weeks ago. The I added boudoir into the shoot because I knew I wanted to shoot boudoir in this venue, but I also knew that I wanted to shoot some wedding details, and an awesome couple. And in the end, everything turned out wonderfully, better than I could have asked for. Click here to see the boudoir photography. […]
