Working with Fabulous Ms. R was a blast! You might remember last year that I was featured on Geektastics, you can read more about the feature here.

She is smart and fun, and a writer for the blog Geektastics – check it out here! This is slowly changing, but being a geek used to be mainly a guy thing. I’m glad us geeky girls have places to fit in too!

Mrs. R was the lucky winner of the mini White Sheets sessions contest that we had last year in those HOT summer months! She is a woman of many talents, and what really struck me is her confidence. While she is certainly a beautiful, intelligent, fun and sassy, so many woman are so blind to the goddess that stares back at them in the mirror. I love how Ms. R embraces her identity. She is a writer with incredible wit and humor, which really shows in the photos, and I particularly loved how she proved that glasses are not just sexy on librarians. She rocked those, as she put it, “like the hottest lingerie.”

The White Sheets sessions really focus on… well, you. They are sessions designed to leave the lingerie and accessories to the side, and really show off your beauty in a natural way.

We are getting LOTS of features ready for the blog, some of them will be throwback sessions from years past, and some will be recent, showing off the new studio! I am thrilled to feature the beautiful Mrs. R with her White Sheets mini session!

What gets better with age?

Sex definitely gets better with age, and as you grow with a partner. Although there is something to be said about the fun and awkwardness of just starting, having the confidence to know and say what you want and how you want it is a glorious benefit of age.

How do you feel about your age?

I have always enjoyed being whatever age I am currently at, and 32 has been no different. Granted, I have noticed three gray hairs on my head in the mirror (I’ve name one after my husband, one after my daughter, and the last after my parents) and it has me thinking about when I was 12 and cockily telling my mom that when I have gray hair I am going to wear it proudly and not dye it, like she did (does). Now I have those gray hairs and I may not be as arrogant as I was at 12, but I haven’t run out to get my hair dyed either. I have dyed my hair within the past five years, but have done it for the novelty of seeing it a different color versus hiding evidence of getting older and earning my stripes. There is such an emphasis on younger being better, and it’s not. I still hope to rock my gray hair one day as a testimony that I’ve lived, and lived awesomely.

Do you feel like your age affects how sexy you really are?

With age comes this gracefulness of confidence I think every woman has to grow into. It’s not something we’re all born with. We need time to mold it, grow it, and elevate “sexy” until it becomes “sensuous”. I can look back at when I was younger and see me in cute clothes, but they were only my attempts at being sexy before I really knew what sexy was and I was only going off of what media and others told me was sexy. Now I am older and have had the time to learn what is sexy for me, to me, and on me. I rock my glasses like they are the hottest lingerie on the planet – because they are!

How did you feel about being half naked in front of the camera?

I was crazy nervous beforehand, and I am sure I drove Brooke nuts with my questions and second guesses. But that’s me, and once I got there I think I let the fun of the experience take over. In my opinion the fun I had really shows in my photos. I also made sure to remember that I was there for me, my sexy confidence, and my husband. Keeping that goal in mind made it easier to be myself.

What do you wear when you want to feel amazingly gorgeous?

Have I mentioned my glasses yet? There’s nothing sexier, hotter, and more sensual than intelligence. My glasses are the outward sign of my sexy brain and wit.

If you wanted to tell your daughter, niece, or a young girl anything about how she feels about herself, what would you want to share?

I have a three year old daughter growing up in a world of pink poofy princess overload (barf!). Disney movies are great, I am a huge fan myself, but I worry that giving our daughters a nothing-but-princesses message is ruining any chance they have of learning that they, themselves, are beautiful and of value. Instead we are putting the emphasis on being rescued by someone else – as if we need another person to give us importance and validation. That is totally not true. I want my daughter to know that there is no amount of money, princess, ball gowns, botox, boob jobs, weight loss, hair dye, and tiaras that can come close to the sexiness, and value, of intelligence. Whether it’s street smart or book smart (both have their unique advantages), show off your intelligence because it makes you one hot woman and one amazing lady (plus it is something that can never be taken away from you, lost in a divorce, ruined by the stock market, or marred by growing older).

I absolutely love what she has to say, and agree 100%! Sexy comes in ALL shapes and sizes, whether physically or internally, or that amazing combination of both! How about some photos of this beautiful lady?
