Whew, September has been a crazy month! Like spin around four times fast, jump up and down without falling, then spin around the other way four times fast kind of crazy. That is how I’ve felt for awhile now!
Our wedding day was amazing. I’ve been teased several times about this so I will go ahead and just put it out there – yes, I was organized. Organized is the word I prefer, and I’m sticking with it. Our wedding photographer even took a photo of my to-do lists. THAT was a little embarrassing. And it takes a lot to embarrass me! So yes, I was organized, and on top of things. I wanted to make sure that everyone was on the same page! In the end, with a combination of my organization and our amazing vendors, the day was perfect. Now when I say perfect let me be clear – yes, there were little mishaps. Life happens, it’s just the way it goes. But everything was smooth, everyone was happy, and from what I’ve heard, everyone had a great time!
After our wedding we headed to Europe for our honeymoon. And yes, I’m being super vague right now INTENTIONALLY because I really do have so much to say about both the wedding and the honeymoon. However, I’m still playing catch up right now. The inbox is finally under control, I’m checking voice mails and trying to finish a few things that need to be done, and then I will concentrate on the photos and blog posts. I haven’t seen the wedding photos yet but I have no doubt that they will be amazing. We had a permit to shoot at a federal courthouse and the columns were just AWESOME!
People have asked me how it feels to be married, and it doesn’t really feel different. I just feel happy. And blessed. There were so many times that I felt completely overwhelmed with gratitude for everything in my life. I’m so much in love with both of the men in my life, and God has blessed me so much with the love I’m surrounded with.
So, I just wanted to give a quick update. I promise more details will come. I want to do an in-depth review and posts for my wedding vendors too because they were so wonderful and I want to tell the world about them! For now, this post will have to end with a photo of Tom and I on our honeymoon. I have 32G of photos to go through, and that doesn’t even include the ship’s photos. That itself has been a NIGHTMARE! And yes, I said 32 GIGS. As in, gigabytes.
Happy Thursday to everyone, more posts to come, I promise!
Congratulations Brooke! Sounds like everything went beautifully! You look amazing and I can’t wait to see the photos when you get caught up! :) Enjoy your newlywedness!!
Glad our Lovelies are home….we hope Kaden didn’t miss you too much but I’m more than convinced Grandma Liz made sure he was happy. Can’t wait to get all the details (sans the personal..tee-hee) and see ALL your forks from your wonderful adventures. Our love to all 3 of yous! Hurry, hurry, hurry & get those pictures up…especially those of me having a blast! I never run away from a good party and yours was THE best wedding I’ve ever been too. I danced so much that night…I guess I do STILL have a few Chicken Dances left in me. It was wonderful seeing everyone. I will treasure those memories for as long as I live! I also hope that I lived up to my Crazy (in a good way) Aunt reputation! We love yous! May God himself put His hand upon your little cabezitas! ;-D
You guys look amazing in the pic! I can’t wait to see some from the wedding though. :)
