Throwback Thursday – Featuring the Gorgeous Mrs. M | Female Boudoir Colorado
What do you do when your first anniversary is coming up and you see that the traditional anniversary gift for the first year is paper? You email the top female boudoir Colorado photographer for a boudoir session, of course. Because what else? ;)
This amazing woman contacted me to surprise her husband for their first year anniversary, and we put together a plan to knock his socks off! I feel like people don’t really talk about what happens AFTER the wedding. We have so many websites and experts when it comes to weddings, but what about that first year? Merging your life with anyone can be stressful, and marriage can definitely be a challenge – so celebrating that first year is definitely a must!
Mrs. M has a gorgeous smile, and we laughed pretty much through the entire session. Smart, funny, and adventurous – basically my favorite combination in people. It’s no accident that these amazing women find me, I feel like I need a huge banner on my website saying YES you’re in the right place!

Describe your body in 5 words:
Curvy, sexy, voluptuous, luscious, and fun
How do you feel about your body?
I feel confident some days and like a disaster on others! I try to love my body and I love pampering myself!
What do you love about your body?
I love my curves and my skin tone!
How did you feel about being half naked in front of the camera?
Nervous! And excited!
How did you feel after seeing the photos we created?
I felt empowered and sexy!
What do you wear when you want to feel amazingly gorgeous?
Lingerie! I love to put on lacy lingerie, nothing beats seeing my husbands face react!
What’s your best tip for feeling sexy?
Positive affirmations and take time out to pamper yourself! I feel sexy when I allow myself just that extra time to do my makeup and fix my hair!
When you are facing a day feeling kind of blah, what do you do to turn it around and help yourself feel beautiful and confident again?
I try to find two things that I’m loving about the way I look that day (maybe my eye liner looks flawless or my hair is curling just the way I like it?) and give myself compliments on those things!!!
How do you feel about your age?
It’s a little scary to be turning thirty but I feel excited for the future!
Do you feel like your age affects how sexy you really are?
Not at all!
What gets better with age?
I feel I get more adventurous as I age…I just want to try everything once and as I age I figure why wait any longer!
What is one piece of advice you would like to share with your younger self?
Love with your whole heart all the time! It’s worth the risk!
What makes you feel like you can conquer the world, powerful and confident?
I just know that I am a strong, independent woman and when I step back and look at all the things I juggle and everything I have accomplished I feel so powerful and strong!
What’s the best compliment you ever received?
That I am the most unselfish person someone had ever met. That meant the world to me as my inner beauty always means more than outer beauty.
Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?
I wanted to give my husband a wicked good anniversary present and I wanted to give myself a way to document how beautiful I feel!
What is the thing you would want to share most with other women when it comes to getting half naked in front of a camera?
Just go for it! It’s not about how much clothing you have on or off its about the attitude that you emit to the camera!
Are there any memories that stick out to you that trigger certain feelings about how you feel about your body – negative or positive?
I remember seeing a few of my pictures on the camera as Brooke and I were shooting and thinking “Damn I look sexy! Let’s keep this going!” It felt great to see just how good I could look!
If you wanted to tell your daughter, niece, or a young girl anything about how she feels about herself or being a woman, what would you want to share?
Be confident and happy with yourself. If you don’t like something about your body, work to change it or accept it and love it! You’re in charge of your life and your body, so never let anyone make you feel insecure!
What do you feel when you look at the images now, well after your session?
I feel this whimsical feeling, like I wish I could have more photos and do the whole thing again!
Is there anything else that you would like to share about your story, why you did your session, or your overall experience?
I will cherish my photo book forever. It is truly a tasteful, beautiful book and really makes me feel special.
