Denver Maternity Photos – The Beautiful Mrs. D!
In the past few years, I have been expanding my boudoir photography beyond women and couples to include Denver Maternity Photos for expecting mothers. Does it have something to do with having my own child a couple of years ago? Maybe! The simple fact is, a pregnant woman is beyond gorgeous, and is most definitely sexy! Why not show off the baby bump in a way that doesn’t necessarily include a long flowy skirt in a field?
With my Denver maternity photos, I wanted to go beyond what I typically see. I wanted to do something sexy but beautiful, and alluring. Something to capture this amazing time in a woman’s life, without doing the cliche photos. Don’t get me wrong, those photos can be beautiful too – but I wanted to do something a little different.
I am so excited to share this feature with you! So many pregnant mamas are self conscious – our bodies are changing in ways that we never thought possible, and not always in ways that we had hoped. Yes the boobs get bigger, but so does everything else in several cases, and if you aren’t used to taking up so much square footage, that can be really frustrating.
I have had the pleasure of working with this gorgeous woman twice now. She volunteered as a model for my boudoir shootout in 2014, and did an amazing job, so when she wanted to do some maternity photos, I said ABSOLUTELY! Bonus, her husband came too. Originally to assist her – my studio stairs can be brutal – but he was in a few of the photos too, which are some of my favorites!

Describe your body in 5 words.
Curvaceous, pale, flawed, lovely.
How do you feel about your body?
That it isn’t perfect but I am okay with that. It doesn’t have to be. I’m okay with my stretch marks and cellulite. I am a 25 year old mom of 3 and I am accepting of me the way that I am right now. My body image doesn’t make me who I am, the person on the inside does.
What makes you feel like you can conquer the world, powerful and confident?
My eyebrows have to look amazing!
What’s the best compliment you ever received?
“You have 3 kids? No way! You look great!”
What do you feel when you look at the images now, well after your session?
I rocked being pregnant and half naked! For me being pregnant I look SEXY!
Is there anything else that you would like to share about your story, why you did your session, or your overall experience?
I love talking to my husband about it. He didn’t expect to take photos and that was a fun surprise!

Daring, free-spirit, fabulous, lively, confident.
Denver maternity photos don’t have to be in a field, with a long dress. Your body is an amazing miracle – when you are pregnant, you are literally growing a human being! Embrace that time, and capture it. I know that it’s difficult to get in front of the camera, and you feel like everything is looking a little funny right now – but I promise you, in five years, you will be so happy that you have these photos.
