Denver Boudoir Photos – Throwback – Featuring The Beautiful Mrs. K

I have been working REALLY hard to catch up on old blog posts! So many people have said to not show the older photos, because they aren’t at the same level of my current work. And I get that, I really do. But these women have taken the leap to share their photos with the world, so while I’m not going to be able to showcase everyone’s photos, I want to make sure to show some of them!

This was my last Denver boudoir photos session of 2012, a holiday gift for Mrs. K’s husband! She was nervous, which is totally normal!

I had spoken with Brooke through email and she made me feel so comfortable. She was easy to talk to, like talking with an old friend. That definitely helped with the nerves. I was worried about what to wear, but Brooke sent me a ton of information on what to bring and do.

So many of my clients say that they don’t like photos of themselves, and I’m genuinely perplexed. Mrs. K is beautiful , but said that she doesn’t usually like photos of herself!

I was a little scared at first, I’ve never liked photos taken of me and didn’t know how to pose or where to put what. Brooke instantly put me at ease! As we got into it I felt more and more comfortable. She made me feel gorgeous and it really shows in the photographs.

Mrs. K had amazing skin and eyes, and we laughed our way through the session. Some of the things that are show in the media when it comes to women are really ridiculous, and make for great conversation at sessions. She wanted to share her photos for women who might be scared to get their Denver boudoir photos taken. It is scary, but so much fun!

I just want to say thank you so much for making me feel beautiful! Every woman no matter her size needs to do this at least once. It was so much fun and the end product is absolutely fantastic. I’m thinking of doing this again next year :)

It is fun for me to look back at older photos, but difficult at the same time. So much growth has happened, not only in my photography and business, but my studio is completely different! I am honored that Mrs. K chose me to capture these Denver boudoir photos, and I can’t wait to have her back in my studio for another session.

While we were shooting, the sun came through the window in a unique way. I’m sure I sounded like a weirdo when I gasped and said “STOP! Let’s come over here.” Hey, what can I say, when I see beautiful light I want to go for it!
