Colorado Boudoir Photos – Wear This, Not That – Episode 4 – A Perfect Panty?
Hey hey there, happy Monday party people!
It’s no secret that Victoria’s Secret isn’t exactly my favorite lingerie store. The fact that they cater primarily to one body type is bothersome, and I have had clients call me crying after visiting, because they don’t fit that “ideal” body image. While I do love some of their lingerie and their collections, they can really be hit or miss.
Personally, I try to shop at locally owned places, including restaurants. Unfortunately, locally owned lingerie stores are becoming few and far between, so we sometimes need to go where the products are. In the US, that is often Victoria’s Secret.
They have different collections for different seasons, and sometimes a season comes and the new pieces have me saying, “REALLY!?” instead of wow, that’s gorgeous.
After several seasons of REALLY – they have a product that deserves an entire blog post. This is a rare event people!

They are part of VS’s Body by Victoria line, and they call it the Sexy Shorty.

I have not personally worn them because, well, I don’t fit into that “perfect” body type ideal that VS tends to go after. I wish they would offer these in a XXL, because they are so super flattering on so many body types!
Several of my clients in the past couple of months have brought these in for their Colorado boudoir photos, in all different sizes. They are a little higher, so they shape beautifully, and they have the flattering butt cut that kind of cuts the cheeks in half. They come in LOTS of colors, and now have a matching long line bra/bustier – which is a whole different blog post for another day. The higher waist means that if you don’t have the super flat stomach, the panties won’t cut you right beneath the lower stomach, and the lace is super flattering.
As I said, I haven’t worn them, so I can’t say how comfortable they are personally, but my clients that have brought them for their Colorado boudoir photos often wear them home and love them too!
It isn’t very often that VS has a complete win for so many different sizes, so I wanted to highlight these if you’re looking for something fun for your session. Or if you just want something sexy and cute to vacuum the house in. Because pants are leg prisons and WHO NEEDS THAT IN THEIR LIFE?!
With so many beautiful and different body types, shapes and sizes, it is hard to really find that “perfect panty.” While I don’t know that a “perfect panty” actually exists, these might come close. At least for anyone XS-XL.
I will continue my quest for the larger sizes, and in the meantime – if anyone from VS is reading, how about some curvy girls? I realize this is a fight that has been going on for years, but come on… I really think that you, of all brands, could do a kickass job.
