Colorado Boudoir – Intimate Outdoor Forest Boudoir
Sometimes, as an artist, I get kind of bored with shooting in my same space all the time. I love my clients, and love the fun things they bring with them – but every once in awhile, we need a challenge, to get outside of our norms and do something different. This shoot was absolutely a challenge, and I say that for one reason and one reason only – the light was changing, and we lost it REALLY fast. I don’t live in the mountains, and while I love to visit, I’m not used to that light disappearing so quickly. Here I had a beautiful woman all made up and some gorgeous flowers to decorate her body with, and my light was disappearing. Good thing I’m a professional and brought other options, right? ;)
There are some amazing people that I would like to thank for the boudoir portion of this shoot. The ever changing light, and challenging (albeit beautiful) location, meant needing an awesome team with me to make this happen.
The gorgeous Lilli with Bella Calla was so excited to mix floral with boudoir, and did an awesome job.
The beautiful Nicole with Pretty Bride Shop was in charge of makeup, and was on hand for touchups throughout the day!
Amy & Marinus were amazing assistants with the boudoir portion of the day, holding lights in the PITCH BLACK so we could get some awesome shots.
Kevin thank you so much for allowing us into your home and front yard!
And the gorgeous Mrs. J – who was freezing but so flexible and willing to try new things. Sit naked on a swing in the middle of a forest at night? Sure Brooke! I’m betting she thought I was a little nutty at times. :)
Thank you so much to all of you, we will have to do this again soon. Well, on second thought, maybe we should wait until it warms up again, it was cold in August, I can’t imagine how cold it would be now.
How about some beautiful images?
Mrs. J you are absolutely gorgeous, thank you SO much for going along with my crazy ideas!
