The Beautiful Mrs. E – Aurora Boudoir Photographers

It makes me feel ancient to say this because I feel like this is something my grandparents said… but if I had a dollar for every time a woman told me that she couldn’t do boudoir because she’s just a ________, I would be rich. As an Aurora boudoir photographer, I hear this all the time. Because I’m just a mom. Because I’m a little overweight. Because I’m not a model. Guess what – my clients aren’t models either. They are mothers, grandmothers, wives, sisters, and everything in between. They are WOMEN, and I am privileged to work with the most amazing women in the world!

This beautiful mother was anxious about taking off her clothes, and opted to only share a few photos, but wanted to share nonetheless! I try to always ask my clients what they love most about their bodies, and get a lot of different responses – but I loved what Mrs. E had to say. She said “I love that my body hasn’t morphed terribly negative after having two kids.”

Our bodies go through SO much, but they are so powerful, and instead of beating them up, we need to celebrate them! Boudoir is a celebration of womanhood, and recognizing that our bodies are not just about what the world wants us to think.

Mrs. E had a beautiful smile, and absolutely lit up when talking about her kids. She is a proud mama, and gorgeous! Feeling confident can show our kids how to have confidence in themselves, and I think we can all agree that the world needs more confident and strong women.

How did you feel about being half naked in front of the camera?

Initially I was anxious but then I found it liberating.

How did you feel after seeing the photos we created?

I was so happy that I booked a session! I loved my photos!!

What’s your best tip for feeling sexy?

Be comfortable in your own skin.

Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?

As a anniversary gift for my husband and to pamper myself after having a baby.

What do you feel when you look at the images now, well after your session?

When I look at my images now I feel sexy and incredibly confident.
