Denver Boudoir Photography – Featuring: The Gorgeous Mrs. C

In March I had the opportunity to work with the gorgeous Mrs. C. She was a part of the Dazzling Diva search for 2013, and all of the finalists have a mini shoot with me! The goal of these sessions is to spend some time hanging out, get to know each other, and have the chance to experiment in front of the camera, to see who would be an amazing fit. Boudoir photography can be kind of daunting for some women, and sometimes it takes a few to get over the nerves and relax!

Mrs. C did not end up winning the contest, but had an amazing shoot, and had quite a bit to say for her feature! She recently got married and made a beautiful bride, but again, maybe I’m biased. She is a wife and mother, and I’m honored to have had her in my Denver boudoir studio, even if just for a mini session!

How do you feel about your body?
While I’m always working on my weight and trying to stay healthy I’ve gotten to a point where I’m comfortable with my body.

What do you love about your body?
I love my petite hands and feet lol

How did you feel about being half naked in front of the camera?
I’m fairly confident in my body, aside from the skin condition on my arms I like the way I look.

How did you feel after seeing the photos we created?
I was totally surprised and totally in love. It really made me feel good about all the work I’ve been doing on myself. Though, I’d love to do another session since I’m FINALLY at one of my goal weights!

What do you wear when you want to feel amazingly gorgeous?
High heel shoes!!!!

What’s your best tip for feeling sexy?
I’d say put on a little make up, wear a big smile, and just say to yourself “I’m happy with myself, you aren’t too bad!!” It’s amazing how sexy you’ll feel when you stop letting the public determine how you should feel about yourself.

How do you feel about your age?
Well, which age? I’m about to be 28 but still act and feel 22. Either way I love being my age!

Do you feel like your age affects how sexy you really are?
Not at all! Feeling sexy, for me, is feeling comfortable in my own skin.

What gets better with age?
Everything! Well… Except responsibility. I could do with out paying bills tehe.

What’s the best compliment you ever received?
One time I was at the farmers market and a guy said he’d only give me the pretzel I was trying to buy if I’d tell him what colors my eyes were. I said I dunno I can’t see them right now. And he said they’re like turquoise and amber!

Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?
When I was selected for your contest… But id wanted to do one after I’d lost a bunch of weight.

What is the thing you would want to share most with other women when it comes to getting half naked in front of a camera?
Be yourself, be confident, and just have fun!

Are there any memories that stick out to you that trigger certain feelings about how you feel about your body – negative or positive?
I had an ex tell me he wasn’t attracted to me anymore after I’d gained about 15 pounds. That hurt. But my fiancee has always said I’m beautiful no matter what size I am. That makes me smile all the time.

If you wanted to tell your daughter, niece, or a young girl anything about how she feels about herself, what would you want to share?
Its important to love yourself no matter what other people say about you, but if you’re unhappy with yourself take the necessary steps to make it so that you are. Whether that’s losing or gaining weight, doing something new with your hair, or changing up your wardrobe, never settle for being less than happy and never stop trying to improve yourself.
