Happy Thursday! Holy moly, is it Thursday already?
I have been sitting on some amazing photos because quite frankly, I don’t really know how to share them, they’re hard to split up! And it dawned on me, after writing the title, that Aaron might not want to be referred to as gorgeous. So please accept this note that Aaron is handsome. Dashing. Awesome! Is that better? And Giselle… wow.
Okay I’m off on a tangent, I will start from the beginning. While in Las Vegas for WPPI in February, Tom and I had decided that we wanted to shoot. And that decision was easy compared to what was next. What to shoot? There are SO many shoots going on while the conference is happening, how in the world would we choose? Tom wanted more practice with wedding related stuff, so we decided to go with a styled shoot that would offer him that chance. And there was not only one, but TWO couples to work with, as well as a beautiful bride! So because there was so much going on, I’ve decided to split the shoot into three separate posts. So you will see some details that don’t fit perfectly – for instance, there are two gowns in this particular post, because we had several to work with. But there were just so many details that if I keep them all in one post, it will be SUPER long. So go with me here, okay?
We were shooting at a private club in Las Vegas, called the Stirling Club. We took a cab from the hotel that was umm… pretty scary. So when we pulled up to the venue, we were super relieved to get out of the cab, and turned around to see a doorman holding the door open to a GORGEOUS venue!
We had several gowns and accessories to work with, and a a HUGE fireplace that was taller than I was!
And RED. RHINESTONE. SHOES. For anyone that follows me on Facebook, you KNOW how I love rhinestones and shoes – put them together and I was a happy girl! Judith Leiber allowed us to shoot some of her purses as well, so there was a matching purse, I was in LOVE!
Okay, maybe I loved the shoes a little too much. But when I put them on this chair the SPARKLES WENT EVERYWHERE because they were reflecting! Who wouldn’t love that!?
Aaron and Giselle were an actual couple, they had only been together for a few months. And he said yes when she asked him to dress up for wedding photos – how awesome is that? I love to see it when guys want to make their girls happy!
We always want to get some shots of the model face – the serious, awesome, strong, and masculine look. But for some reason, people crack up after a few shots of that. I don’t know if I should take it personally or be grateful. ;)
Giselle, you are so amazingly beautiful. And your smile is contagious!
More model face, then cracking up. Should I be worried? I always tell my clients I’m hilarious, I don’t know whether they believe me or not, but they laugh at me, so it must be true.
We went into the reception room for awhile to capture the amazing tablescapes, although my camera kept going back to Aaron and Giselle.
Aaron and Giselle, you were a pleasure to work with, not only professional but FUN! And oh yeah, gorgeous. Sorry Aaron, I call it like I see it.
A shoot like this takes a LOT of time and effort from a lot of people… here are all of the amazing vendors that worked so hard!
