That’s quite a choice to make, right? After much consideration, and consulting with a highly distinguished panel of judges (my husband and son!), we came to a few conclusions.
I can’t use Lacey, that is the name of my makeup artist and she is MUCH prettier than the mannequin. That would just be weird.
Matilda makes me think of that book that I loved when I was little, by Roald Dahl. And then I think of the illustrations in the book, with stringy hair, and this mannequin would never have stringy hair. If she had hair.
Cinderella is the name for my future bulldog, so that one is reserved. The black and white bulldog that I will own that will wear sequins and ruffles and glitter.
Summer Love makes me think of the NKOTB song when they tried to come back. And failed.
Stiffanie totally makes me laugh but when my son asked me why it’s STIFFanie instead of STEPHanie, I had to make something up.
Madeleine makes me think of the cookies. Yumm….
50 Shades of Lace is awesome, although there are some that hate the books, and it’s a mouthful to say. I can’t just tell Amy “can you please move 50 Shades of Lace over there?” Kind of awkward.
I decided on…. Marilyn!!! Yes, technically the entry was sweet Marilyn, but I decided that while she will be sweet, she will also be a little naughty. So we will just stick with Marilyn. When I hear that name I think of the beautiful Ms. Monroe, specifically this photo.
What a classic beauty. This photo shows that beauty, without being a total sexpot and seductive in some of her other photos. Don’t get me wrong, I love them all – but this photo just seems so natural, so relaxed.
Tamra attended the Studio Soiree and submitted that name, so Tamra, you have won $10 to Chipotle! They have fantastic guacamole and chips, so have some dinner on me. I think Marilyn would have liked that. Monroe, not Mannequin.
One more photo of the beautiful Ms. Monroe, with one of my favorite quotes from her.
Welcome to our very own Marilyn Mannequin. I think she needs a corset next, with a pop of color! Thank you to everyone who entered!
Marilyn is still the beauty symbol and its icon for me. Her rank is untouchable yet though all those pretty actresses nowadays. I like your idea how she is representing beauty even full dressed.
