Colorado Wedding Photographers – Heather & Ryan Are Engaged!
I have known Ryan for… well, all of my life. :) Ryan is my cousin, and while my mom was flying when we were little, my brother and I would stay with Ryan & his family for a few days every week. When he brought Heather to a family function years ago, we were all immediately laughing right along with her. They are so perfect for one another, it is amazing how well they fit. She is one of those women that has a smile that lights up the room! They are both sporty and competitive, yet really laid back. We are SO excited for their wedding next year, I know it will be full of a ton of laughs, and maybe a few happy tears too!
Officially Together: November 28 2005
Engaged: June 7 2013
Wedding: July 18, 2014
From Ryan:
What are five words you would use to describe Heather?
athletic, funny, sexy, witty, caring
What do you love most about her?
I love Heathers personality, we are so much alike and can talk about anything.
What are you looking forward to the most when it comes to being able to officially call Heather your wife?
It’s been 8 years and we are more than ready to take the next step, I’m just looking forward to our future together.
From Heather:
What are five words you would use to describe Ryan?
Ryan is thoughtful, so loving, handsome of course, he is probably one of the most awkwardly funny people I know, he is also very passionate, not in a sexual way but passionate in the sense that he cares so deeply about everything he does and everyone in his life. being a wrestling coach a teacher a brother, son, uncle, friend, he puts his heart into everything
What do you love most about him?
I love how compatible we are, over the course of these 8 years we have developed such a strong relationship, we do stupid stuff that is weird to others but funny to us, we’re obsessed with our dog, we love sports! So many other things, but I just love how much fun I have with him!
What are you looking forward to the most when it comes to be able to officially call Ryanyour husband?
I am just looking forward to solidifying the already super strong bond that we have. I cannot wait to officially make him a part of my crazy family and vice versa. And of course I’m so excited to have an awesome party and enjoy the overabundance of love on that day!
I was honestly shocked to be proposed to, there were a few times which the moment felt right and I was for sure that he was going to pop the question but it didn’t happen. Ryan proposed at DIA airport after I arrived back from visiting my family, his mom and younger sister were there, it was awesome and a moment that I will never ever forget.
How about some photos?
During every engagement or portrait session, we always have to get the one shot that is the “Christmas card” shot. You know, where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling.
And then, the real fun happens.
Heather is from California, a Chargers fan – we will forgive her. ;) She is a true California Girl, blond hair, and striking green eyes – just stunning!
One of my most favorite things about couples’ shoots is the way that HE looks at her. There is this look of adoration and love that will melt even the strongest, most macho guy.
Heather & Ryan have a kid… well, a four legged kid. Their fur baby, Leila, is a little nuts, but a lot of fun, and just a little spoiled. But definitely loved!
Climbing into a tree for photos? Sure, no problem.
Testing light is never a dull moment.
With some gorgeous leaves and colors, we had to play in them. That’s the point of a pile of leaves, right?
Their competitive natures came out with the leaves… “my pile is bigger!”
Heather & Ryan, we had a ton of fun with you both. I can’t wait for your wedding!

Oh my goodness I love the one of them with their arms around the dog at the lake, and he’s looking back at you. Adorable. Love these!
I love them all but I really love the one of the dog looking back at you…so stinking cute!!
Haha I love that one too, although someone else said “but you can’t see their faces.” ;)
