Thank You To My Beautiful Clients | Colorado Boudoir Studio
Truth bomb of glitter: sometimes I don’t write blog posts because I really don’t know what to say.
And then when my clients are actually with me, in my Colorado boudoir studio, or even in my DM’s, I’m a regular chatterbox. Or at least that’s what one of them called me.
I’ve decided to just start WRITING here, sharing my random thoughts and things that I wish my clients knew. Or potential clients, past clients – ALL THE PEOPLE.

This entire post idea came from THIS shared on Facebook –Β because I saw it, immediately laughed and snorted so hard that my coffee came out of my nose – and then I thought of all of the weird moments I’ve had in being a boudoir photographer through the years.
Listen – I’ve TRIED.
I’ve tried to be normal, and that is exactly what happens to me when I try to be normal – it backfires and then things just get super awkward.
Fortunately, never with clients. At least I don’t think so. But in social situations? Absolutely.
And then I thought of all of the wild situations that I’ve been in with my clients, that to outsiders would be DEFINITELY weird and abnormal, but for me, they’re completely normal.

So many of my clients have asked me if I’ve seen the movie Love Actually – and I hadn’t seen it until November of 2024 when I had the big C word and needed something random to watch while hidden away from my family.
Truly – it wasn’t that great.
Sorry, I’m sure some of you love it, and I love that for you, but it wasn’t a favorite for me. What WAS funny though, and the reason that so many of my clients have told me to watch it, is because of this couple. They’re doubles in adult movies, so they make it look like they’re doing things when they’re not, and they’re having completely innocent conversations.
And that is how I roll.
I’ve had conversations about school districts, while one client is over her husband’s knee while he has a paddle.
We’ve had to both sit down on the bed and collect ourselves after laughing so hard because trying to have someone move to the other side of the bed while in a spreader bar is damn funny looking and we both ended up with tears of laughter.
I’ve had conversations about flight schools while one client is adjusting his dangly bits to move towards the light for the perfect shadow.
I’ve had conversations about politics and religion while my client is arching her back more than she thought possible to get that perfect butt shot.
The truth is, what I do LOOKS super sexy – and yes, the end result is hot. What can I say, I’m the best at what I do – and I love what I do.
But the actual process is definitely not sexy, although it is a ton of fun.
One of the most common makeup touchups we do in my Colorado boudoir studio: corners of eyes, because we are laughing so damn hard that we have to fix the makeup.

So today’s post is a special
THANK YOU.
Thank you to all of my clients who are willing to try new things, whether we’re in my Colorado boudoir studio, or elsewhere.
Willing to brave the SNOW in lingerie.
Willing to go to a park at sunrise in panties, while a creepy squirrel watches us with what I’m sure was nefarious intent.
Willing to get into freezing cold water for the perfect waterfall shot.
Willing to wander in the sunflowers during what must have been a bug o r g y because damn they were everywhere.
Willing to get onto a rooftop in HEELS and climb a ladder.
Willing to try a new pose resting on her HEAD with the rest of her on a chair because sure, why not Brooke?
Willing to dress up like a character from a book in a random location simply because I had a weird idea.
In love with my older lab who used to visit my clients during their sessions, so much so that I have several photos of her with women in lingerie.
Willing to join me at events with several other women walking around in lingerie at a time, just for the fucking fun of it!
I always say that I have the most amazing clients on the planet, and I mean it. I work with the people who have not only been through hell themselves, but are the kind of people who come out of the ashes and bring others out with them.
I’ve also cried with my clients – but that will have to be a story for another time. Or several stories.
To you, my beautiful clients, you inspire me every damn day. And I know from your beautiful words and stories that I was able to impact you in a positive way as well.
And while this thank you might sound like a farewell, it is anything but – I have had a few years of chaos, but I’m back and better than ever, and excited to have YOU in my studio. Whether it’s your first time, or your fifth, let’s make some memories and laugh until we cry.
