Denver Boudoir Photography – Boudoir Tips and Tricks – Hands and Nails
Today’s tips and tricks post comes from some questions that I’ve been asked quite a bit lately. “Do I really need to get a manicure or pedicure before the shoot?”
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: You don’t HAVE to, but it really will matter in the detail shots.
Boudoir photography isn’t just about the lingerie. It isn’t just about boobs, or lace, or sexy stuff. Your session should tell a story, and that includes the little details. These little details can really add a lot to the photos, or can look kind of funny in the photos if they are ignored. I understand – believe me – I’m a mom. I’m doing dishes constantly, or wiping down the counters, or the bathroom. My hands take a beating. My nails get weak, my skin gets dry, and the everyday mommy stuff takes its toll. So take advantage of booking your boudoir session and really pamper yourself! When you choose to have something like this done for yourself, it is super empowering and exciting to go ALL out.
The eyelashes, bras, panties, corsets… they all get a lot of attention. But don’t forget the little details, like your hands and feet! You never know when they might have their own closeup.
All of my clients get a comprehensive guide to their boudoir session that has a TON of tips and tricks like this – book your session today and I will walk you through the whole process!
