Boudoir Colorado – Featuring the Gorgeous Mrs. K!
I am SO excited to share today’s feature with you! This feature is a little different, as Mrs. K didn’t want to share ALL of her photos. Which is always an option! I want you to feel 100% comfortable in any of the photos you share from your boudoir Colorado session with me – even if that is NONE.
In the beautiful Mrs. K’s case, she wanted to share her story, but didn’t want to share all of her photos. Her career wouldn’t allow for everything, but I’m thrilled to share some favorites that are a little more discreet!
Mrs. K wanted to do something super special for her anniversary with her husband! They had a rough year with some family illnesses and she wanted to remind him of the amazing woman he married, and their connection. She wanted to do something to surprise the “best man” she knows, and the way she described him while she was in hair and makeup had me stopping myself from constantly saying AWWWW.
I feel like marriage gets a bad rap sometimes, especially in our media and celebrity driven culture. Yes, marriage can be hard, the melting of two lives together is never completely easy. But it is so worth the work, and she was so excited to spoil him with an awesome gift!

What do you love about your body?
I love that it is the body of a women chasing her dreams and living fearlessly!
**Brooke’s note – can we just pause for a moment and LOVE THAT SENTENCE?!**
How did you feel after seeing the photos we created?
Prior to this experience, I never really saw myself as sexy. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my body both before and after, but I used words like strong, confident, and comfortable in my own skin to describe myself. Now I’ve added sexy to the repertoire.
What makes you feel like you can conquer the world, powerful and confident?
The support of my husband, family, and friends helps me wake up each morning ready kick booty and take names. Knowing that someone has my back helps make up for the days when I feel not-so-powerful.
What’s the best compliment you ever received?
The best compliment I’ve received is “you’re going to be a great mom.” It may have to do with the fact that I’m seven months pregnant, but that’s my answer, and I am sticking with it! (I gave my husband the boudoir photos around 8 months ago. Coincidence? Maybe….)
**Another pause for Brooke’s note – boudoir has a tendency to, shall we say, bring people together… ha!**
Why did you decide to do a boudoir session?
My husband has been the biggest support to me as I worked through 6 years of schooling. He has always bent over backwards to put me first. Last Christmas I really wanted to get him something that would surprise him and also be a way to show him how much these past few years have meant to me. Boudoir photos is something my husband never would have asked for, but I knew he would love it. It was definitely worth the surprise!
Is there anything else that you would like to share about your story, why you did your session, or your overall experience?
Although I am confident in who I am, I think most people would be shocked if they knew I’ve had boudoir photos taken. I think that was part of the fun of the experience. As much as it was for my husband, in many ways it was about me conquering the fear of something unknown. And Brooke made the experience fun and relaxing! It was totally worth it!
Mrs. K was such a pleasure to work with, witty and smart and let’s be real – super hot too. I think that we have a tendency to think that the women that we see in situations or photos like this are models – but they are everyday women, just like ALL of us are! How about some hotness?
