Couples Boudoir – Featuring the Awesome C&M

It isn’t very often that I have a guy willing to answer questions and share his experience with couples boudoir, women are typically more comfortable sharing. But I am SO happy to be able to share this awesome session with you today.

Couples Boudoir is unique in that you are taking someone you don’t know, and sharing intimate moments with them. Basically, inviting a photographer (me!) into your intimate space between each other. The couples I have worked with have always said it was kind of odd to think about, but in the end, it is an amazing experience, and the photos are one of a kind. These sessions really are different, and the experience is something that reminds the couple of their passion. That underlying “oomph” that is there, but sometimes forgotten in everyday life.

Someone once asked me if couples’ sessions are super creepy, and the answer is, they really aren’t. They are like any other session – we laugh, we joke, and get some great images. Once a couple feels comfortable with me, it shows in the images, and they can relax and enjoy each other. This is a chance for them to focus on each other, enjoy each other, and make some memories that they will get to keep forever. Someone once told me “if you’re the only woman he’s allowed to see naked for the rest of his life because you’re his wife, you better let him see it!” That stuck with me, and I believe so strongly in that couples’ connection, and the importance of that intimate connection.

C&M had recently said “I Do” and wanted some amazing photos to capture that passion. They came in from South Dakota for their session, on their way to celebrate with family. I remember when they asked for ring shots, I said “sure hand me the rings” and they were like umm… not those kinds of ring shots. We did different ring shots, and other shots to celebrate their love and connection.

They both opted to answer the feature questions, I’m excited to share!

How would you describe your body in 5 words?
Small, curvy, tattooed, toned, sensitive

How do you feel about your body?
For the most part I feel good about my body, but of course there are things that I’m self-conscious about.

What do you love about your body?
The things I love most about my body are my booty, and how my skin is delicate but a little rough around the edges at the same time.

How did you feel about being half naked in front of the camera?
Being half naked in front of the camera was an exhilarating experience. It was fun and playful but most of all it allowed me to tune in to my inner-sexiness and my husband most definitely empowered it.

How did you feel after seeing the photos we created?
Sexy!

What do you wear when you want to feel amazingly gorgeous?
If I’m going out, I feel sexiest in a little black dress or a backless dress with some heels. If I’m at home it’s a white wife beater with no bra and some panties. Simple, I know, but you just can’t go wrong with it.

What’s your best tip for feeling sexy?
My best tip for feeling sexy is to curl your hair ,do your make-up and slap on a pair of heels. I can guarantee you will feel a boost in confidence.

Do you feel like your age affects how sexy you really are?
Not at all!

What is the thing you would want to share most with other women when it comes to getting half naked in front of a camera?
LET LOOSE! Don’t hold back, this is your time to shine and see what you can really do.

If you wanted to tell your daughter, niece, or a young girl anything about how she feels about herself, what would you want to share?
I would say to always keep your head up and always be yourself. There is nothing better than seeing someone comfortable in their own skin.

Is there anything else that you would like to share about your story, why you did your session, or your overall experience?
My husband and I did our session because we both find each other extremely attractive and we wanted to see what we could do. We had so much fun, we were so comfortable and we constantly fed off each other. It’s amazing what the camera can actually capture- love, passion and happiness. We will definitely be doing it again.

How do you feel about your body?
There’s always room for improvement. When my body is not where I want it to be I work that much harder to get it where I want it to be. No excuses in the gym, high reps, heavy weight, and a proper diet.

How do you feel about your age?
I am at the age that is going to define my work ethic for the rest of my life. Whether it be in the gym or my job. Laziness is not an option for me, and I refuse to let age be an excuse as to why I should have done something. I take advantage of all my opportunities so that way I live with no regrets.

Do you feel like your age affects how sexy you really are?
Absolutely not. It’s all about the effort you put in for the way you want to look, regardless of age. Thats what makes you sexy. For me, hard work in the gym is what defines my look, not my age.

Why did you decide to do a couples’ boudoir session?
I have a gorgeous wife and we compliment each other very well. We have a passion for each other which generates chemistry on camera. Our love for each other is something we are not afraid to express and through that we hope to lead by example.

If you wanted to tell your daughter, niece, or a young girl anything about how she feels about herself, what would you want to share?
Don’t let how other people view you, define you. If you honestly feel like you need improvement, do something about it. Nothing is handed to you. Improvement requires hard work and dedication. Set your goals, and achieve them. No excuses.
